For over ten years, the Centre for Terminology Standardization has been producing standardized terminologies for organisations
in Wales that operate through the medium of Welsh.
The Centre is located within the Language Technologies Unit in
Canolfan Bedwyr at Bangor University. There, the Centre continues to specialise in the field by complying with international terminology standards
and representing British Standards Institute in international conferences on terminology.
Maes T is the Centre's online collaboration tool for terminology. It enables terminologists, linguists and subject specialists to
work together to develop new Terminology Dictionaries, in a convenient but controlled and managed process based on
international standards and best practice.
Terminology Dictionaries produced with Maes T can be exported for dissemination into many different formats, including print dictionaries, CD, website, web service or even as a dictionary for mobile phones.

Cysgliad
The Language Technologies Unit is also home to the Cysgliad software
As a result, the Unit is able to include all its terminology dictionaries into Cysgeir, the electronic dictionaries application in the Cysgliad package
Several dictionaries are available in Cysgeir and the Unit are able to disseminate further dictionaries to Cysgliad users with a connection to the web.
